FOCUS Mentors

FOCUS Mentors are first-generation undergraduate students who have completed their sophomore year, and are usually a member of a group historically underrepresented in education (Native American/Alaska Native, Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian, or Other Pacific Islander). They are here to help other first-generation college students complete the FOCUS program, which is designed to help eliminate the gap in post-graduation outcomes and starting salaries between underrepresented, first-generation students and their peers. Many FOCUS Mentors are past FOCUS participants.
